Open House Extravaganza

March 28, 2011

Lois Schneider Realtor invites you to join us in a celebration of the blooming spring housing market through our participation in New Jersey’s Open House Weekend on April 3, 2011.

The Open House Weekend is the New Jersey Association of Realtors (NJAR) state-wide extravaganza being used to recognize the official start of the Spring Market.  Here at Lois Schneider Realtor, we will be featuring at least 15 Open Houses, highlighting listings that feature something for everyone! Please visit the open house page on our website for a complete list of our featured open house listings.

Remember, interest rates are still low and inventory is good. As always, if you have any questions about buying or selling your home, or about the current housing market in our area, feel free to call 908-277-1398, or stop in our office at 431 Springfield Avenue in Summit to speak to one of the real estate experts at Lois Schneider Realtor.

La Pergola. Delizioso!

March 14, 2011

At Lois Schneider Realtor, we know that the towns where we live and work, and where our clients live and work, are wonderfully special. Vibrant downtowns full of  fine dining, sophisticated shopping, art, music and theatre abound; and we are always happy to extend a welcoming hand to a new business, especially when that business connects three of our Mid-Town Direct communities–Millburn, New Providence, and Chatham. La Pergola Restaurant does just that!

Housed in a former bridal salon at 120 Essex Street in Millburn, NJ, La Pergola promises to be a bright new star in our local restaurant constellation. Sophisticated and elegant in its decor, this new restaurant offers a delightful menu of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, prepared with the freshest of local ingredients. The owners, Agron and Driola Kaloshi of New Providence, warmly welcome their guests and invite them to bring their own wine or spirits to enjoy while they linger over lunch or dinner.

The artwork at La Pergola will be provided exclusively by lifelong Chatham resident and local artist, Steven C. Fleisch. The vibrant, colorful art will also be available for purchase.

La Pergola is conveniently located close to parking and train service in downtown Millburn. For reservations, or for additional information about hours of operation, private parties, and menus, please call 973-376-6838 or visit www.lapergolanj.com.

We recommend La Pergola wholeheartedly. Delizioso!

Congratulations Lois!

March 1, 2011

On Thursday evening, March 3rd, 2011, the Suburban Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an awards dinner to honor selected community members and companies who are dedicated to the service of “Tying the Community” together. Included in the stellar group of honorees is our company’s very own inspirational leader, Lois Schneider. Lois will be commemorated as Businessperson of the Year, and will be in the very good company of the Honorable Walter Long; Emergency Squad of Summit, New Providence and Berkeley Heights; Connell Companies; Sue Janazzo of the New Providence Beautification Committee; and Alan Leiber and Overlook Hospital.

Lois has always stayed true to her life-long motto: “It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice,” and she puts her words into action every chance she gets! Despite the depressed real estate markets we’ve seen in the last three years, Lois continued to make it the highest priority to make donations to The Other Fellow First Foundation, Summit Public Art, Colonial Crossroads Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Reeves-Reed Arboretum, Family Promise, The Visual Arts Center, Summit Supports Our Troops, Overlook Hospital, Summit Area Public Foundation, and so many other community organizations. Her philanthropy certainly embraces this year’s theme of “Tying the Community Together.”

From all of the Sales Associates and Support Staff at Lois Schneider Realtor…we congratulate you Lois. Your commitment to our communities is an inspiration to us all and we are honored to be in the company of such a special woman.
